Starting my career as an in-house creative at Allstate’s corporate headquarters, I wrote lots of regulatory (and promotional) communications for the company’s 16 million customers, across 50 states – about rate hikes, discounts, policy changes, credit reporting, etc. I also worked with the creatives at Leo Burnett and Ogilvy on direct mail and custom magazines.
A highlight was helping create the Allstate Foundation’s first philanthropy program for teen drivers. Reality TV stars, swag, party vans, chalk graffiti … what a blast!

The Allstate Foundation’s first-ever philanthropy program (and the first in the industry aimed at teen drivers) was launched with a report on the issue, which earned 1M+ national media hits and a nice nod from the Public Relations Society of America.
